Event Details

This workshop will provide practical tools, expert insights, and peer guidance to support newly elected mayors, village presidents, councilpersons, alderpersons, and trustees as they transition into office. Topics will include leadership and governance, building strong internal relationships, engaging with legislators, communications, and legal considerations. A day-of agenda will be shared as details are finalized. 

The day is hosted in collaboration with five other regional Councils of Government, including Metro West Council of Government, DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference, McHenry County Council of Governments, Northwest Municipal Conference, South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association and Southwest Conference of Mayors. 

Cost for the program is $25 and includes breakfast and lunch.
