Congratulations Are In Order!

The Village of Carpentersville is now a Lead-Free Service Line Community!

As early as 2018, Carpentersville launched the significant endeavor of replacing lead water service lines. After partnering with Metro West business partner, Engineering Enterprises, Inc., the project, which officially began in the Fall of 2023, was completed in November 2024.

As members of the American Council of Engineering Companies-Illinois, EEI submitted the Village’s project to the American Council of Engineering Companies. The project was awarded the Engineering Excellence Honor Award, Judges Choice Award: Water Resources and the Engineering Excellence National Recognition Award.

Village President John Skillman and EEI accepted the awards on behalf of the Village of Carpentersville at the ACEC-IL Gala held in Rosemont, Illinois, and at the national level, in Washington DC.
