Over 90 people came out for the 2023 Metro West Legislative BBQ at the Elburn Lions Club – a favorite event for members, business partners and local legislators.
This year, Metro West brought back the Legislator of the Year Award and gave out two awards to Metro West legislators who have helped champion municipal legislation. Senator Don DeWitte and Assistant Majority Leader Senator Linda Holmes were both honored for their legislative efforts. Senator DeWitte and Senator Holmes were also the keynote speakers and reviewed the municipal wins and losses in the latest Springfield session.
